CSAFE Senior Advisory Board Member Knighted in 2018 New Years Honors List

CSAFE extends its warmest congratulations to Senior Advisory Board member Sir Bernard Silverman on his recent knighthood in the New Year Honors List 2018 for public service and services to science.

Silverman is Professor Emeritus of Statistics at Oxford University and was most recently Chief Scientific Adviser to the Home Office until 2017.   He is a well-respected statistician who is recognized as a pioneer in computational statistics, making significant advancements in research that has changed the field’s ability to collect, analyse, understand and utilize data.  Silverman has collaborated in many fields in the physical, life and social sciences and with various areas of industry and government.
