Congratulations to Karen Kafadar, CSAFE Co-Director and Chair and Commonwealth Professor of Statistics at University of Virginia on being elected by American Statistical Association members as the 114 President of the organization. Founded in 1839, the ASA is the second-oldest, continuously operating professional association in the country. The ASA supports excellence in the development, application, and dissemination of statistical science through meetings, publications, membership services, education, accreditation, and advocacy.
