The American Academy of Forensic Sciences Annual Scientific Meeting is right around the corner. On February 17-22, CSAFE will join nearly 4,000 national and international forensic professionals to discuss the most current research and updates in their fields and exchange ideas through collaboration, networking, and sharing of knowledge across the forensic community.
CSAFE scientists will present our latest advancements at workshops and poster presentations throughout the conference. Each presentation will communicate how CSAFE projects in a variety of forensic disciplines benefit the everyday work of forensic scientists.
We’d like to extend a special invitation to the CSAFE Monday morning workshop “Statistical Learning Algorithms for Forensic Scientists.” Here you will learn how algorithms are useful tools to evaluate and interpret evidence. Join CSAFE director Alicia Carriquiry and other team members to discuss some of the more popular types of algorithms and their application in different forensic disciplines as well as explore some of the limitations.
You can also connect with the CSAFE team at our conference booth, found at number 718. Stop by to discover more about our latest opportunities for research collaboration and training and education programs.
We look forward to this opportunity to learn from our forensic science colleagues and hope to see you there.
