CSAFE Congressional Briefing

October 16

CSAFE will host a second congressional briefing on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 on the Hill in Washington, D.C. Speakers include Alicia Carriquiry, CSAFE Director followed by Lynn Garcia, General Counsel, Texas Forensic Science Commission and Julia Leighton, General Counsel (retired), DC Public Defender Service.

CSAFE plays an important role in the criminal justice system through the development of new tools that enable forensic scientists to more objectively analyze and interpret evidence. This briefing will focus on CSAFE research impacts in a variety of forensics disciplines and highlight the Center’s outreach and training programs for forensics and legal communities.
