The Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference recently invited CSAFE Director Dr. Alicia Carriquiry to speak at their annual event in March 2019. As a plenary presenter, Carriquiry will share the latest advancements in CSAFE forensic science research while partnering with WiDS to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide.

Conference attendees will gather at Stanford University where WiDS will feature women making outstanding advancements in disciplines such as data ethics, privacy, data visualization and more.

Dr. Carriquiry holds a PhD in statistics and is an expert in measurement error modeling, survey sampling and Bayesian methods. Her work at CSAFE focuses on statistical algorithms and their applications to forensic science.
