Forensic Experts Invited to Participate in Survey on Forensic Methodologies

A person collecting evidence at crime scene.

A research team at the University of Pennsylvania is conducting a study to evaluate the opinions of forensic experts and scholars regarding the accuracy and variability of common forensic methods. They invite individuals who study or utilize various forensic methodologies to participate in a one-time anonymous survey.

The research team is seeking expertise in one or more of the following forensic methodologies:

  • Non-touch DNA Analysis
  • Touch DNA Analysis
  • Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma
  • Fingerprint Analysis
  • Forensic Pathology
  • Firearms and Toolmarks Analysis

Your responses to the survey will help contribute to the research team’s understanding of these key forensic methods.

The online survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and will remain open until April 16, 2025. All responses are anonymous.

If you have questions about the survey, please contact Maya Moritz, a doctoral student in criminology, at mamoritz@sas.upenn.edu or download the informational flyer.
