Bailey Kong, CSAFE graduate student researcher in computer science from the University of California, Irvine won the Honorable Mention Award for Best Industrial Paper at The British Machine Vision Conference (BMVC) in London in September 2017. The paper, “Cross Domain Forensic Shoeprint Matching” describes research that investigates strategies for automatically determining what type of shoe left an impression found at a crime scene.
