The Center for Statistics and Applications in Forensic Evidence has gained national recognition for its efforts to strengthen the validity and reliability of the forensic sciences. In his Harvard Law Review, former President Barack Obama identified CSAFE as a leader in field, stating that the center has helped to solidify the statistical foundation for pattern and digital evidence. He, along with the FBI, have acknowledged the need for quality research and technology development in forensic science as the government seeks to reform the criminal justice system. CSAFE is proud to play a role in the advancement of this mission. To read the full review, visit http://harvardlawreview.org/2017/01/the-presidents-role-in-advancing-criminal-justice-reform/.
