On May 8 and 9, 2017 individuals from all CSAFE partner institutions as well as practitioners from NIST, the FBI and other collaborating groups gathered in Arlington, Virginia for a Digital Evidence Workshop. The workshop focused on providing an open forum of discussion to expose statisticians, digital forensic practitioners, and academics to the current state of practice in the field as well as the latest research that is being developed. Attendees explored how CSAFE can be at the forefront of improving the statistical foundations of digital forensic evidence, and developed new opportunities for collaboration.
