CSAFE Director Carriquiry Featured in AAAS Article

Alicia Carriquiry, CSAFE Director and Iowa State University Distinguished Professor and President’s Chair in Statistics, was featured in an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) article.

The article gave an overview of CSAFE’s research on pattern forensic evidence and how it is developing statistical methods to form a complete analysis of crime scene evidence. It continued to explain CSAFE’s efforts to release big data sets to help forensic scientists with their research.

Also highlighted in the piece was how CSAFE has brought together forensic scientists and other stakeholders through its outreach and training activities, including workshops and distance education classes.
