The Department of Statistics at Iowa State University is accepting applications now for a full-time Postdoctoral Scholar in Statistics and Data Science. This position will conduct research in statistics and data science and collaborate with Iowa State University researchers on projects requiring expertise in statistics and data science. Opportunities to teach one to two courses per year may be available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in computer vision, machine learning, predictive inference, or statistical inference for data from complex surveys.
  • Interest in application areas including forensics, plant sciences, or land use surveys.
  • Ability to collaborate with statisticians, computer scientists, electrical engineers, and mathematicians on NSF HDR:TRIPODS-funded research.
  • Ability to contribute to the missions of the Center for Statistics and Applications in Forensic Evidence, the Center for Survey Statistics and Methodology, or the Baker Center for Bioinformatics and Biological Statistics at Iowa State University.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Statistics or related field.
