Carrie Wood is currently an Assistant Supervisor in the Conviction Integrity Unit in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.  Carrie previously worked in the Appeals section of the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in Cincinnati, Ohio and as an Assistant Public Defender in the Appeals and Post-Conviction section of the Office of the Ohio Public Defender. Carrie joined the Ohio Public Defender after working at the Ohio Innocence Project as a full-time staff attorney from 2010 to 2013. Carrie has previously been a member of the Complex DNA Working Group of the Innocence Network and conducted trainings on evaluating forensics in criminal cases. Carrie completed her undergraduate studies at Cornell University, where she majored in Engineering and received her law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. After law school, she worked in the Criminal Defense Practice of the Legal Aid Society in New York City in the Bronx trial office from 2005-2010, representing indigent defendants at the trial level.
